IBEX HUNTING
The population living from the Tien Shan to Altai in the South of Kazakhstan is one of the biggest population in the world. The biggest animal units may weigh up to 120 kg (one hundred and twenty) and the length of horns may reach 150cm. Ibex is one of the well-deserved trophies for mountain hunting lovers.
Two subspecies of Ibex inhabit Kazakhstan. This is the Central Asian (Tien Shan) ibex and Altai (Siberian) mountain ibex.
They have a different habitat. The Central Asian ibex inhabits the Tien Shan mountains and the Dzungarian Alatau, and the Siberian ibex is found in Altai.
