Spanning an area of 89,428 hectares, &#171;Karakastek&#187; occupies the northern slope of the Kastek ridge, the Suik Tobe ridge, Zhetyzhol, and parts of the northeastern spur of the Zailiysky Alatau. The ridges\u2019 altitudes range from 2,600 to 3,200 meters above sea level. &#171;Karakastek&#187; is abundant in mountain rivers, including the Kastek and Karakastek rivers, which originate from the watershed of the Kastek ridge.
