Welcome to Kazakhstan — the land of nomads!

About Kazakhstan
The Republic of Kazakhstan is the heart of Eurasia and the largest country in Central Asia, spanning 2,724,900 square kilometers. This area is almost twice the size of all four neighboring Central Asian republics combined. Kazakhstan is the ninth-largest country in the world, following Russia, China, the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Canada, India, and Australia.
Kazakhstan shares borders with Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Its vast territory encompasses diverse natural zones—from forests and steppes in the north to semi-deserts in the south.
The country’s population is approximately 19 million. The capital city, Astana, is a modern cultural, administrative, and industrial hub. The city’s symbol, the “Baiterek” Tower, stands 105 meters tall and offers breathtaking views of the capital.
Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan with over 2 million residents, lies at the foothills of the Zailiysky Alatau. The city is renowned for its natural attractions, including the high-altitude skating rink “Medeo” and the ski resort “Shymbulak.”
Kazakhstan is an open-air museum, rich in unique natural landmarks. Lake Burabay, alpine meadows, and the Charyn Canyon are just a few of the country’s many wonders.
